Join us for the Lydd Half Marathon & 20 Mile - a delectable racing experience and perfect for those planning a Spring marathon.
This is a Nice Work race
This means that this is an original Nice Work race, fully hosted and organised by us.
Event Overview:
This long-established and highly coveted event takes place on a pancake flat course, using the wide, quiet country lanes surrounding the marsh town of Lydd in Kent. It is the perfect opportunity to test your pace, hydration, and nutrition for future marathons but is also a great course for those new to the distance and a delight to race. If the conditions are right on the day, then a fast race with a nippy PB is highly likely. Runners of all standards are welcome. And, the course is a joy too!
Course Details:
The race will start on the main road adjacent to the Banks Sports Club in Dennes Lane, which is found just off the High Street. Participants will head out to the north of the town and cover a pretty, rural out and back route through the quiet lanes surrounding the town before making their way back to Lydd to finish at the Sports Club. The has been officially measured and carries a certificate of course accuracy.
Please note that the roads will only be closed for the start of the race and although they are quiet lanes there is a chance you may meet a vehicle on the route.
