Pendle Trail Race

There is just the Trail Race as part of the Pendle Running Festival left to participate in this year after the other races went virtual in April.

Pre-entry only before mid-day on15th July. 

Race starts in Barley on Saturday 17th July 2021 at 10am. 

Please collect your race number on the day from the gazebo on the picnic site which opens at 9am.

A slightly shorter route for 2021 to finish the race just outside of the vilage of Barley to limit social contact during the Covid-19 pandemic. At just under 5 miles, the route is undulating and has a variety of terrrain including track, fields, woodland, lanes and riverside paths. All finishers will receive a bespoke wooden Pendle Witch Medal and prizes this year are for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female only so we can hand them out on the finish line. There will however be spot prizes too!

Directions

1. Leave the M65 at Junction 13.
2. Take the A682 towards Kendal.
3. Follow the road for approximately 1 mile.
4. Look for the White Bear Pub on the left and turn immediately left onto Pasture Lane.
5. Follow the road up and down hill around various bends for approximately 1.5 miles to a ‘T’ junction.
6. Turn left at the junction opposite a pub called the Bay Horse.
7. Follow the road for about 0.75 miles to a small crossroads and turn right.
8. Follow the road for approximately 1 mile until you reach the village of Barley. 
9. Please follow marshals instructions for parking at the event.
