Challenging but worth it

Thoroughly enjoyed the Race
Well organised and the route well laid out
Only issue was the lift back to Ruthin - I didn't realise you needed to book transport
Apart from that it was excellent

Outstanding scenic trail run

Very hilly in two parts but worth while for the views once at the top/finish.

Enjoyable race, first half doesn’t give a hint about the second more varied second half

I answered “maybe” to suitable for beginner because unless they have done some hill preparation then the answer would be no

Lovely run with a killer finish - I’d do it again but not just yet

Well organised, lovely marshals, tough but great route, varied terrain (lanes, trails, fields, streams, hills and … the gulley to finish)

Scenic route but waymarking is poor

As with other Outfit events, the scenery and atmosphere are great, but the waymarking let's them down! (Loggerheads and Hawarden) This event, the marshaling and waymarking for the first 6km was great, but after that I thought very poor. You NEED to change from the white and red striped tape. Some of them were either lying on the ground/had fallen over marking them hard to see, and should the course deviate from its current path, please use large arrows or other markers. I was joint 2nd/3rd with another guy and at 7.5km we missed a marker and ended up running 16km instead of 10

Tough!

A really tough race! I'm sure once the joints stop aching I'll have enjoyed it!
