Next Race: 26/01/2025
Ashbourne Leisure Centre, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, DE6 1DR.
This was my first time doing the tissington half marathon and it was amazing from start to finish . The setting was perfect
A wonderful run with a wonderful view!
Had an amazing 10k. Very friendly, very well organised, and a really nice out and back route on stable gravel ground. The first half is an extremely gradual uphill, which gives you the second half back a nice downhill to get a good stride going! Really enjoyed it, thank you Nice Work for yet another brilliantly organised run.
Excellent course and lovely run
The "drinks" stations were very well equipped and the whole organisation was excellent. The support on the course was very good but a bit quite at the finish. Most enjoyable.
Beautiful scenery but quiet race!
The few Marshall’s were very supportive along the route. Sometimes didn’t See anyone for miles though! Didn’t collect my t-shirt before the race began as I didn’t want to carry it round with me. When I got back to ‘race headquarters’, there was no one to be seen! So still don’t have my t-shirt which is bought and paid for! This was disappointing as wanted to wear it with pride today. Have emailed but no reply to communication yet so don’t know if I will ever get my t-shirt or my money back!
Fantastic event in beautiful scenery
Friendly
Great day out
Nice place to run but…
This is such a lively place to run but there was very limited support - marshals were good and gave some support as you passed but the finish (with a good 40-50 supporters) was totally silent; no clapping no well fines, no cheering! The only person who spoke as I passed through was the race organiser who handed me a medal and said Well done, good finish. It was possibly the least crowd interactive race I’ve ever run.
Perhaps the organiser could have gee’d up the finish crowd a little and got them cheering / clapping people in?
Great marshals though and well organised
Demanding but very enjoyable
Well organised, relaxed and friendly race
Great run, loved it.
Loved being able to use the facilities at Ashbourne leisure centre
Really great half-marathon route, well organised, not too busy, good atmosphere.
Loved it!
My friend and I really enjoyed the race, beautiful scenery and such friendly marshalls and race organisers, highly recommend.we were the last 2 back but still we got a big cheer, medal and Jaffa cakes!
Great race, very well organised
My first run in an organised race. Did half marathon. Was very well organised, signposted and good all round. Good communication and very helpful staff. Thanks
Finished with a bug grin
running near the back of the pack, I noticed that there were a lot of gel packages left/dropped. Would having extra bin put along the course help with this?
Excellent off road course
Nice easy run
Great beginner race
Lovely out and back 10 K
Being one of the last to finish the 10 K I was disappointed that the medal I received had the wrong ribbon attached to it. This was apparently because they had run out of the 10 K medals. Whether this was due to miscounting or misplacement I don't know. Is a small thing but does slightly tarnish the event.
Fantastic run through some outstanding scenery
First time I've run this race and was really looking forward to it. And, it didn't disappoint. Great out and back route with some stunning views. Marshall's were fantastic and the Jaffa Cakes probably where the icing on the preverbal! Thanks to all the organisers, will definitely be back.
Decent and Fairly Flat 1/2
Everyone was really nice. The course was relatively flat.
My only quibble was about communications. The Find a Race website said it was at Ashbourne Leisure Centre. I don't know whose fault that was but it meant a dash to the start line.
I enjoyed the race and thank you to everyone involved.
Great organisation and beautiful run
Thank you nice work for great organisation, creating relax and friendly atmosphere. Thank you
Always a great course
A brilliant morning out. I've run the course before under the Ashbourne 10 and Ashbourne Seesaw events by SBR. Don't be put off my the elevation profile, with the exception of the 'dip', it's a pretty comfortable trail. An excellent first step for anyone wanting a break from roads. Great area, great people. Do it!
