First Stride Events is thrilled to be bringing triathlon to the 1066 coastline.
The 1066 Triathlon follows the route of William the Conqueror through the heartland of 1066 country with a sea swim landing on the shores of Bexhill and transitioning in the stunning De La Warr Pavilion before heading into the 1066 countryside for the bike leg before returning to run along the fast and flat promenade, with views a plenty and a wonderful historical touch.
Sprint, Standard and Middle Distance options are available meaning there is fun for all abilities. Wtih a friendly atmosphere throughout and everyone gets a finishers medal for their achievements!
Prizes for Top 3 Males and Females in each event will be sent out the week following the event.
The swim will take place on the beaches adjacent to transition at the De La Warr Pavilion. Participants will complete a clockwise loop of either 750m, 1.5km or 1.9km. Athletes will be set off in waves according to their race distance.
The bike couse takes you through the heart of Sussex countryside with some lovely fast and flat roads and just a few kickers it's a great oppertunity to set a fast bike split.
The run is consists of a 5km loop along the promenade which is pan flat and full of spectators cheering you all the way to the finish.
There will be 2 aid stations out on the run course which athletes will pass through on each lap. No aid stations will be on the bike course.
