The Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team has been organising races in London since 1981. As a family of running enthusiasts we welcome competitive club runners, seasoned trailblazers, fitness lovers and novices. At all of our races you will experience a warm welcome, a supportive team of dedicated volunteers, efficient and professional race management and flat runner-friendly courses.
Event Profile: Our Relay is a chip timed race on a 1 Mile loop, teams of 3 run a mile each. There will be TWO races: first starts 19:00, the second race starts 19:25 and is for teams aiming to complete in under 18 mins. The second race will start before the first completely finishes, so runners should not worry if their team takes over 25 mins to finish. Teams can consist of any mixture of age group and gender, minimum age for entry is 11 years. The course is on a traffic-free avenue inside Battersea Park. The race is UKA Certified accurate and manually timed to UKA Standards.
Registration Information: Register online then pick up your number and chip tag at Race HQ at the blue tent on the day of the race 6.00 to 6.50pm. Team names should be 4 words maximum. Secure bag drop is available at the Race HQ, which is very close to the start and finish line. Entry on the day is not permitted.
We are inclusive of all members of the LGBT+ community and welcome entrants as Female, Male or Non-Binary. Only Male and Female categories will be captured in results for ranking purposes, however all non-binary times are captured in the overall race results. The reason for this is we must adhere to the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) Rules & Regulations.
Location: The Race HQ is in a blue tent adjacent to the Rosery Gate Car Park. Rosery Gate is at the South East corner of the Park and is accessible from the junction of Queenstown Road and Prince of Wales Drive. Postcode: SW11 4BE

Inspiration: Our races focus on giving each runner a good experience, an opportunity to transcend their limits and achieve their personal goals. Our inspiration is Sri Chinmoy (1931-2007), the founder of our Marathon Team, who was not only an avid athlete and pioneer in the world of running and ultra-running races, but a teacher of meditation. He recognised the sport of running as a powerful way to develop concentration, confidence, determination, peace of mind and happiness.
Refund Policy: We are unable to refund cancelled entries but runners are welcome to postpose their entry to a future Sri Chinmoy race of their choice as long as we are notified before race day. Contact us via email races@runandbecome.com
