Excellent event, very enjoyable.
It was my first ever race and the staff were very helpful and the event was very well signed

Collecting my number : not until I got to the start line could I then see the tent with the numbers....... perhaps one sign from the carpark could reinforce where the numbers were?

The lady at the small pond warning every one of us of the drain below the water surface ... she did a great sacrificial job!!!! But that was certainly a trip hazard and cones around the drain would be better.

Marshalls and organisers were incredible and supportive until the very end , can't commend them high enough

I ran the half and had the support of the sweeper runner, Gaby, for the last few miles. She was so lovely and encouraging, thank you! I met up with lots of friendly runners and thoroughly enjoyed the event. It was hilly and muddy in parts, but great fun. There were supportive marshals along the route and Jaffa cakes at the end- even for the tail runners. Thank you for a really enjoyable event

No signage when entering the carpark. 2nd lap of half marathon very lonely not enough marshalls. If someone fell they would have to relay on another runner to get help which would take forever as they were very few and far between. No marshall at the part where the route changed on lap 2 (Ones which were there were outstanding) I know it's very hard to get marshalls to volunteer but it's just an observation.

Really enjoyed it. Friendly marshals and well organised. Tougher course than I expected. I will be back.

A couple of issues. Firstly, I didn’t hear any instructions which were meant to be given at 9:50? Large numbers of people did not, we didn’t hear anyone call us for instruction. Not sure if we missed this or if none were given, but there were definitely large numbers who were unaware. Only other issue for me was that there was no stalling of starts for 10k and half marathoners. This made it needlessly congested in my view for the first couple of kilometres. I’m certainly not the fastest, but I couldn’t reach the pace I wanted to fit at least a couple of kilometres due to how congested it was. Given it was two loops for the half, wouldn’t it have made sense to start the 10km maybe 5-10 minutes before the half?

Other than this, a great event which I will gladly do again!

This is the 2nd time I’ve come 1st in my age group at this event. Both times I’ve had to enquire about the prizes. Today I was told they were only for the longer race the half marathon if 2 distances are running on the same event. checked my email received yesterday 16th and clearly says

There will be a lovely bespoke medal awarded to all finishers.
In addition, we will be awarding the following prizes...
~ Trophy with e-certificate & £5 voucher prize for 1st, 2nd & 3rd male & female winners (both distances)
~ E-certificates and £5 voucher prize for 1st male & female age group categories (both distances).

It just puts a damper that the event race director/organiser’s can’t get this part of the event correct.

A challenging run along for the most part very firm paths. Great scenery and very friendly atmosphere. Excellent organisation. Many thanks
