Grab those elf shoes and get festive! Put your legs to the test in this beautifully scenic, but challenging Christmas run.
This is a Nice Work race
This means that it is an original Nice Work race, fully hosted and organised by us.
Event Overview:
Join us for a delightful seasonal dash through the beautiful forest at Cannock Chase. You will take to the trail and wind your way through the trees, celebrating the great outdoors and the arrival of the festive season in one, perfect event. Don't forget, seasonal fancy dress is most welcome! Get those Santa hats at the ready, folks!
Course Details:
The course takes place mainly on hard track and forest trail. If the weather has been inclement, then the ground will likely be muddy. The course is gently undulating but with a Christmas gift of 167' climb at 3 & 8km. You'll enjoy looping around the lakes. The 5km is one lap and the 10k is at two laps. The start area is a wide, open space - perfect for spectators who want to cheer on friends and family!
We will once again be hosting an out and back Junior Fun Run of 1.2km - fancy dress is optional but very much encouraged!
We hope that you will join us in welcoming our aspiring racers to the start line!
Our charity... Shelter:
This year, Nice Work is proud to support Shelter.
Shelter believe that home is human right. It's our foundation and it's where we thrive. Yet every day millions of people are being devastated by the housing emergency. Shelter exist to defend their right to a safe home. Because home is everything. Day in, day out, we see people living and sometimes tragically dying on our streets. At the moment, around 3898 people sleep rough on any given night in England. This has risen by 27% in the last year and has doubled since 2010. 2024 has seen the highest numbers on record of children living in unfit temporary accommodation. All they want is a safe place to call home this Christmas. With your help, we can make this happen.
