Voted one of the best events in the UK by runners in the independent RaceCheck Awards in 2019/2020, Surrey’s largest half marathon promises a high-quality racing experience for every level of competitor, attracting a perfect mix of new and returning runners each year.
You’ll enjoy an award-winning atmosphere in an accessible, central location, glorious scenery, and closed road routes. As one of the UK’s only closed road 5K running races, it boasts unparalleled PB potential.
The Half Marathon follows a professionally marked and measured single loop from central Woking into the surrounding countryside and the 5K features some of its best bits - including starting and finishing under the main event gantry.
This picturesque race is made even more popular by live performances from local bands, aid stations and communities of cheering spectators, and boasts one of the fastest half marathon finish times on record (62 minutes).
The Kids Run encourages children to experience the exciting atmosphere generated by mass-participation events which can inspire them to lead active and healthy lifestyles. With full road closures in place and dedicated team of volunteers, the safety of each child is paramount.
It is designed for children 5 - 16 to complete themselves but, if children are a little younger or would prefer to run with an adult, that’s no problem.
We will ask chaperones to wait outside the kid’s zone until the race has started and they may join once the pen has started to empty. All children must be registered to run but there is no need to register chaperones. Children with chaperones should start at the back of the pack
Parents/Guardians should retain the tear-off tab from their child’s number to facilitate repatriation after the race.
Further information can be found on the event website.
Event merchandise is available for purchase during registration for collection at (or delivery prior to) the event, further details on which will be confirmed in the pre-race comms.
The road closure schedule will be posted approximately 6 weeks prior on the event website.
