Join us on Saturday 3rd May 2025 for the Mapledurham Backyard Ultra!
After the huge success of the first instalment, we can't wait to return to Mapledurham and share this experience with you.
This last-man-standing event is perfect for seasoned ultra runners (think you can beat the 32 lap/214km course record?) and those wanting to dip their toes into the world of endurance running.
The 4.167mi/6.706km loop will have you running from Mapledurham house up, through Chazey Woods and back, on the hour, every hour, until one person remains. This makes everyone else a DNF!
We’ve spent hours in these woods making sure it’s as enjoyable to run on as possible, and hope that you take as much value from this course and the surroundings as we do.

Aside from the running, you’ll find a busy race village, stocked with hot and cold water and snacks where you can refuel between each lap. We highly recommend bringing your own food.
There is plenty of space to set up support tents and you can camp at the start line on Friday. There is an easily accessible car park with enough room for camper/caravans.
2024 saw hand whittled birds for their DNF medal. Who knows what we'll settle on in 2025 but you can be sure it will be made with love!

Please follow directions to Mapledurham House. You will turn left down a signposted private road to the front of the house and carpark. The carpark location is marked on the map.
