Hell of the Ashdown (HOTA) Sportive

The Hell of the Ashdown (HOTA) is an iconic sportive which marks the start of the cycling season and is regarded as one of the UK’s toughest, most demanding cycling events. 

The 102km route has just over 1750 metres of climbing taking on a number of well known and feared climbs & colls including Toys Hill, Markbeech, Wych Cross, Twyford Lane, Kidds Hill (The Wall), Groombridge, Hubbards Hill and Brasted Hill.

Tickets go on sale 5th November and each year all 1500 rider places are sold out within 72 hours.

When purchasing your ticket you are also given the option to purchase a car parking space. We have 500 car parking spaces available across 4 locations no more than 1 mile from Event HQ - 100% of the proceeds from car parking sales go to our event charity partners. Please note for those who purchase a car parking space at Westerham Brewery, access to the car park closes at 07.45am as the first riders are dispatched at 08.00am and the entrance/ exit road will only be accessible to cyclists only from 07.45am onwards. If you arrive after 07.45am to park at the brewery you will not be admitted.

Please car share where possible to help us minimise our impact on the residents of Westerham! 

Rider numbers will be posted out approximately 2 weeks before the event.
