We are delighted to announce that you can also join HD5K 2022 virtually!
We would like to invite you to be a part of the virtual HD5K - if you are outside the UK, too far away from London or simply not feeling comfortable yet to mix with groups of people.
You can still be a part of the HD running community and also join us on the day via streamed transmission from the After Party.
First organised by Hayes Davidson in 2018, in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, the HD5K charity run in Hyde Park honours the memory of Alan Davidson who founded Hayes Davidson and who was diagnosed with MND in 2012. Alan sadly left us in August 2018 aged 58 and was present at the inaugural run in May 2018.
Complete your run between 11th and 18th May, submit your result and evidence (Strava or similar) to join the virtual leaderboard and we’ll get your medal in the mail! We’ll share details on how to do so closer to the event. You can also still be a part of the fundraising and set up your own page on Just Giving and link it to the HD5K campaign.
Last year, with our virtual event, over £40,000 was raised for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. The overall total of over £200,000 since 2018!
The event has been made possible with the invaluable support from the Royal Parks and our wonderful sponsors:
- the Design Museum
- Vitra
- the World Architecture Festival
- Ali Tomlin,
And our media partner:
- Dezeen
The HD5K donations are doubled through match funding from Alan Davidson Foundation, which itself has a strong focus on MND research as well as other initiatives which benefit those with disabling neurological conditions. All the fees connected with the payment process are covered by Hayes Davidson to allow the full amount to be donated directly to MNDA.
You can also help by making a donation on our Just Giving page.
