This means that it is an original Nice Work race, fully hosted and organised by us.

Event Overview:
This magnificent series consists of five fast races taking place on the second Tuesday in April, May, July, August and September
You can enter each race individually or save money and buy a series entry.  
The race offers a fast, out and back promenade run using an accurately measured 5k course, ideal for beginners and experienced runners alike. 

Course Details:
The Gosport 5k will start from a point close to the Bayside Cabin Cafe and cover an out and back route along the promenade which includes a loop along Lifeboat Lane. The majority of the route is on concrete paths apart from a few metres on a shingle pathway.  The route is accurarately measured and fast times are highly likely.

Junior Race:
We are fortunate to also be joined at this race by a fantastic contingent of brilliant, aspiring young racers for whom we offer a nippy (untimed) 1k out and back race. We love supporting our junior runners and love to give them a huge cheer as they cross the finish.

A note on racing sustainably:

A note on headphones:
Due to new UKA rules that came into force on 01 April 2024, in the ear and over the ear headphones are no longer permitted at running events unless otherwise stated. Bone conducting headphones are permitted however, if you do choose to wear bone conducting headphones, then we ask that you have the volume turned down low enough to hear the marshal instructions

Race HQ: adjacent to the Bayside Cabin Café, Stokes Bay Road, Gosport PO12 2QT.

By Car: There is plenty of car parking available along the sea front, but please pay attention to any parking restrictions and remember to pay the appropriate rate where applicable.

By Train: The closest railway station is Portsmouth Harbour and the promenade is served by local buses.
