Dulwich Park Runners 40th Anniversary 5 mile race

Dulwich Park

You pick up your number on the day. Registration opens at 8.45am and closes strictly at 9.45am. The race starts at 10.00am. Please bring safety pins.
The race hub and start is near the children's playground area in Dulwich Park. The entry to the park nearest the start is the Queen Mary Gate on the south circular which runs along the southern edge of the park. There is no car parking in this area. If entering the park by the main gate near the Dulwich Picture Gallery, walk straight ahead for approximately 100 meres and then turn right along the carriage way and follow it round for approximately 400 metres to the start
There are public WCs between the race hub and the cafe in the centre of the park. There are also WCs in the cafe. There are also WCs at the main College Road entrance to the park. The main gate to the park is opposite Dulwich Picture Gallery. After you enter the park from the main gate, turn left just before you join the main carriageway which encircles the park. The WCs are about 50 metres up the path. These tend to be less busy than the other WCs. If these are busy there is another WC in the Francis Peeke centre which is a bit further along, next to the car park
We strongly urge you to walk, cycle or use public transport . There is limited car parking in the park and you have to pay. Rail - 10 minute walks from West Dulwich station (on the line to and from London Victoria) or from North Dulwich station (on the line to and from London Bridge). The park is about a 20-minute walk from Herne Hill station. From these stations you enter the park by the main gate in College Road Bus - P4 (to the main gate in College Road) or the P13 (to the Queen Mary Gate on Dulwich Common-the south circular). Plus several buses that go up and down Lordship Lane. Alight at Dulwich library followed by a short walk to the Court Lane entrance to the park.

Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female. Youngsters completing the one-mile route will receive a medal.
Participants must be 18 or over on the 6th October 2024. There is a junior one mile race after the main event for under 18s.
The one mile event for under 18s starts at 11.15am near the race hub. Registration is on the day only, no advance booking. Registration closes at 11.00am A parent must register their child. The route is one lap around the park and at times not within sight of the race hub. There will be marshals around the route but parents can of course run the event with their child if they wish. (They do not need to register themselves)
