UKA rules prohibit the use of headphones with the exception of bone conductive headphones. you must nit in anyway interfere with you ability to hear both other road users and or instructions from staff at the event

Toilets

There are no toilets at the event, there are lots of local bars in the area.

Between 18:00 - 18:30
Bus leaves for Castle hill and the start at 18:30 prompt, start when we arrive.

Route

The route is entirely your choice, in our searches the shortest route is 9.02 miles and goes via Cromwell bottom brighouse, we would use this as its the most spooktastic one!

Drop Bags

It is possible to leave a small bag at registration, this must be no bigger than a shoe box sized bag, ask registration team on the day. The bag will be taken on the bus to the finish for you.

CASH PRIZE POT*

This prize pot is for the whole event NOT the seperate routes, fastest overall.

1st Male / Female £45 each (+£20 for setting course record 2024)

2nd Male / Female £35 each

3rd Male / Female £25 each

Best fancy dress £25 (one prize to be shared either by solo winner or team winners)

The prize pot only becomes live when the event sells out that is a minimum 50 participants each way. Cash prize only no alternative. 1st, 2nd, 3rd is for the overall event NOT the two seperate routes. This must be collected in person at prize giving!

Kit List

You are requested to take with you, and have with you at all times, the following items:
  Waterproof jacket - not a bin bag or fashion jacket. It needs to have a waterproof membrane and taped seams.
  Waterproof trousers - as above
  Hat and gloves
  Backlight or reflective/hi-viz and or a glow stick attached to your back. 
  Mobile phone (make sure this is fully charged and not being used as any kind of navigational aid) put our number in it now 07549 309 086
 
The mandatory kit list without these items you will now be getting on the bus. 

The mandatory kit is for all of you, there are no exceptions.
