Andalusia Running and Yoga holiday

Next Date: 13/03/2025

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” (Eleanor Roosevelt)

That is exactly what we aim to provide you with here, to taste an experience to the utmost. Are you currently creating experiences to take with you, as memories that cannot be bought, sold, taken or exchanged?

We all want good stories to tell the grandchildren, but we need to make them happen. We want to help you create your own ‘edge of the seat’ story by providing you with exclusive accommodation (it will be just us there). You’ll be in a part of Spain with never ending mountain ranges to explore by foot, bike or motor vehicle, the huge Lake Negratin nearby, the Sierra Nevada and Europe’s only desert (at the moment!!) within a couple of hours.

Who is it for?

This is an active retreat, which will help you to improve your physical and mental resilience, by honing positive lifestyle changes and exploring your limits in a stunning natural setting, where we will make you feel relaxed and at home.

The formula is designed both with wellbeing and performance in mind. Some background in running would be beneficial and you should have a reasonable level of fitness. However you don’t have to be a primed athlete to sign up. You just need to be capable of running a half marathon at any pace. Our breath work and Qigong classes, will provide a method for reframing and resetting your mindset towards life, work and sport, with an individual approach to each guest. Most importantly, we aim to provide a friendly and relaxed setting, as well as a learning environment, where you can connect with and learn from each other.

Location

The Molino Viejo is a beautiful old renovated mill, nestled in the Almanzora Valley in the Almeria region of Andalusía, surrounded by limestone mountains, olive and sweet smelling almond trees, with historic towns such as Seron, nearby to visit.

The location is really memorable. To us, location is key, and we wanted it to be based somewhere which has a history of ecotourism, where locals and visitors can mix, without that ‘ them and us’ mentality, which you can get elsewhere.

In typical Spanish style, there are four inner courtyards, one of which houses a separate annex bedroom and a swimming pool. By October , there will be an outdoor gym.

The house sleeps 16 in 7 bedrooms.

How to get there

We can arrange for you to be picked up from the airport, unless you’d prefer to catch a train or to hire a car. Spanish roads are incredibly quiet and smooth compared to the UK, so it’s actually a pleasure to drive, once you’ve got sat nav on the case.

If you fly to Alicante, we can collect you for a reasonable price in our bespoke minibus, as well as dropping you off. You can also fly into Murcia, Almeira, Granada or Malaga airport (all within 1 to 2 hour’s drive) but you will have to make your own transport arrangements. We may be able to offer lifts from Murcia, Grenada or Almeira but can not guarantee this.

The price of the retreat includes accommodation, food (except for two meals out). It does not include the flights. Airport transport is also available. We can arrange picks ups and drops offs from Alicante.

**Rooms are subject to availability.

Get in touch with us if you are interested in coming at info@wildrunning.co.uk. Before we put it on sale, we’d like to hear what people can afford.
