When is the Alf Shrubb Memorial 10k Race happening?

The adult race is on September 15th starting at 11.15am. The kids fun runs start from 10am at Slinfold Cricket Club.

Is parking available?

Yes, we will have free parking and will provide details via our Facebook page a few weeks before the event is due to take place.

Are toilets available?

Yes, we will have ladies only toilets at the Slinfold Cricket Pavilion and Port-a-loos for shared use.

What is the main race route like?

The race route is mainly on trails with some areas of tarmac. It is best described as Cross Country.

Do children have to be accompanied?

Yes, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and cannot be left unaccompanied.

Are dogs allowed on the race route?

No, the route is narrow in places and it would not be safe to have dogs mixing with runners.

Can buggies be used on the adult race?

No buggies are allowed due to the varied nature and route of the course.

What time will registration take place and will it be possible to register in advance?

We are still finalising the details for registration and it will depend ultimately on the number of runners. All entrants will be notified in advance via our Facebook Page so please follow us on Facebook.

Why do I have to register my interest and not just pay to enter the event now?

We are setting up a CIC so the long term future of this event is secured. Once that is complete we can activate the bank account and start taking entries/donations. We expect that to be ready in July at which point everyone who has pre-registered will be invited to pay and confirm their place.
