Next Race: 05/10/2025
Manor House Grounds, Gallows Hill Lane, Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire, WD5 0AP
A must on the running calendar. Really well organised by committed people
1k perfect for kids
A good race and friendly atmosphere
Three water stations where lots of plastic cups are handed out, plus the water bottles at the end, seemed excessive. This was especially the case after participants were encouraged to purchase foldable race cups but no provision was made for the easy fill of these through the race or at the end. I love this race and would really love to see it become genuinely sustainable. It would also be helpful if it was easier for runners to get too and from the community centre/ bag drop.
Excellent event and brilliantly organised
A great event all round, although at the finish line, there didn’t seem to be anyone giving out medals (i did finish quite far down the field) or if there was someone, they weren’t very visible, and in all the excitement of finishing, it went out of my head to look for anyone so subsequently didn’t get one
Great local run
Great event for all !
A great run and well organised. Please make it clear for future events that prizes for the 5k are only for u15. 16 year olds would normally only do 5-6k in cross countries
Tough but very enjoyable
Fantastically organised very friendly event with fantastic marshalling - thank you
An achievable challenge
Would be good for the council to prune back the hedges so we don’t need to run in the road as much. In particular station road.
Very good local run for the village and surrounding areas.
My 4 year old enjoyed it.
I would like to see other races available
1. Over 80's
2. Medically compromised or physical impairments (disabled or less mobile)
Excellent community-powered event!
I really enjoyed the race with its friendly relaxing atmosphere.
There were plenty of marshals on the course and the three water stations were well placed. There were lots of supporters.
Brilliant event
Excellent event
Well organised and friendly
From a warm welcome at the registration desk to all the marshalls encouraging us along the way this was a lovely event for both beginner and more experienced athletes.
Best 10k ever variety of terrain and challenging at the end
Great marshals lovely’s people
Well organised
The route didn’t seem to be 10k. I know it was measured earlier this year but no one seemed to get the 10k distance on their smart watches.
Tough is right!
Great experience
Will be good if the little ones can be at the front at the start line and not pushed behind where they can't see and get intimidated by the tall kids.
