Next Race: 18/05/2025
My first 10k, great experience more prom running than expected so that was a bonus, good fun
Genuinely different. Exposure to whatever the weather chooses to do on the day adds to the challenge.
A genuinely original race and definitely a challenge. The headwind during the last few miles made it really tough yesterday, but the variability of the weather on the day is part of what makes the race what it is. Great venue, with easy access to parking and local amenities. Only change I would (personally) like would be for a greater proportion of the return leg to be on the beach, as that's what makes the race different. Thanks to all the marshalls, organisers and first aid support etc who gave up their Sunday morning so we could enjoy the race.
Awesome beautiful joy
This is a fantastic race, fighting the elements in stunning scenery. The underfoot can be challenging, perhaps the 4 bay better for a newbie runner. I loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat
A fun challenge along a great route
Leave your PB time at home and bring your smiles and giggles … this run is a challenge across the elements. Great fun
Challenging but enjoyable
Really enjoyed the course. Challenging running on the sand but good to have a different type/variety of running terrain. Good organisation
Spectacular beautiful course but challenging terrain
The signage was poor and there were several areas where it was difficult to know where to go. Otherwise a lovely and memorable course. The steep climb at 2 miles caused concern and some anxiety about what else may lie in store later but thankfully passed without incident. I struggled with some of the terrain but felt a sense of accomplishment and pride to be one of the five ladies over 60 to complete it.
A different race for us runners in Kent
Really enjoyed it
Well organised
Friendly
A real Challenge
I wanted a tough challenge to push myself not having done more tha 10k. This was tough despite some training. Wind and rain and the sand but so pleased to complete it. On a sunny day would be amazing. Thank you to all the marshalls for braving the weather. Well organised thank you
Great route with great Marshalls
Was my first time running on sand and wasn’t sure what to expect. There were a couple of places where you could run on the promenade instead of the sand which was good. The Marshall’s were friendly and helpful as always, especially when going up the cliff!
My chip didn’t work so no result recorded
Disappointed with number of marshals
Confusion over course - sand or prom!!!
Arrows were wrong, not enough marshals, some people on sand, some on prom. Great route but needs to be clearer on where to go.
First time on the beach really enjoyed it.
My first time here and not being part of a running club was a bit apprehensive of tlwhat to expected but really enjoyed the event, everyone was helpful and supportive.
Look forward to next year
A race with a difference (and a cliff) , highly recommended
Excellent and a good challenge.
Really enjoyed this one. Different to anything I've done before and was challenging, fun and rewarding.
I've seen some comments about the need for more signage etc but without the fog I think it would have been perfectly adequate and you couldn't have foreseen or done much about those conditions. I can see how it would have concerned some but I actually liked - it made for another, extra fun dimension to the race.....although may be I'm just odd ! :-)
Will definitely do it again.
Great race and good fun
Enjoyed the scramble up rocks
Fantastic scenery and a great route
This was a fun race that was well organised throughout.
A challenge from the norm
Great scenery and friendly marshals, quite a tough course.
The visibility dropped and we couldn’t see other runners at a couple of points in the run, signage was ok though. I would have like another drop of water at the end of the run but was told they didn’t have enough. Otherwise we’ll organised and with friendly marshals.
Who'd have thought there were so many varieties of sand!!!
This is only the second time this race has been run so I think it still has some tweaks to be ironed out. My garmin has come up as 14.6 miles so I'm not too sure if I went wrong at some point? There was sooooo much fog/haze this morning that I think it's possible as for quite a bit of the race I couldn't see any competitors in front or behind me.
I enjoyed the race but I do think it would benefit from more marshals and more signage as for at least 1 mile I honestly felt quite unsure if I was still on the correct route.
Despite these niggles though I would compete in this race again and I'm sure the organisers will resolve these issues with time and experience. Thank you.
Different!
A challenging run-I was concerned that I had gone wrong at one point. A few more marshals along the route or more signage would have assisted me for sure.
