Midweek Aquathlon

Registration opens at 6.30pm and the race will start at 7.30pm.

Can all club members please park in the normal car park.

All the 2019 Midweek Aquathlons will all take place on a Tuesday evening dates below.

Yes you can enter on the night just get there by 6.30pm.

An Aquathlon consists of a continuous two stage race, involving swimming followed by running.

Sorry but you will need to have done open water swimming before you can take part in this race. You will also need to wear a bright swimming cap.

If you feel unwell before the event pleas don’t race.

Due to safety issues all 2016 races will be wet suit swims only. If the water goes over 23 degrees we will cancel the event. In 2018 the water did not go over 23 degrees.

The race is also limited to 60 swimmers. We will have 4 boats looking after you

If you get into difficulty during the swim roll on to your back and raise one arm. Someone will come to your aid.  

The open water 650m swim takes place in the south lake followed by a three lap 5.7km run around the lakes. We have kept it to this distance so you can fit it into your midweek training schedule.

Please take care when you exit the lake as the ground will be wet and slippery.

Registration will open at 6:30pm with the race starting at 7:30pm.

Car parking is in the Beacon Pub is free and a short stroll to registration and the start. If you get chance pop into the pub and have a drink before you go home

PLEASE NOTE: Swimming is forbidden in the lakes on The Bridge at any time other than for events or during authorised Open Water Swim training sessions. Any person found swimming in the lakes on The Bridge is committing an act of Trespass, will be asked to leave and will be barred from site and disqualified from all future events at The Bridge.
