Great event but prices too steep.

great course, demanding but rewarding, superb organisation

my Garmin measured the Haywards Heath course a bit short of 10 miles. Might be worth checking or extending initial loop ?

great event with top marshalls

I was guiding a blind runner. We received plenty of support and advice throughout. The marshalls were great and the lead bike joined us at the back and saw us home.

Such a good atmosphere that I didn’t get my pre-event nerves that I usually get

Really enjoyed this event, it’s is a rural relaxed event that still challenged me. The marshals were so positive, welcoming and encouraging. I’ve been running for about 8 years now and have a rack of medals from various events including London marathon and this is by far one of my favourites!

Not enough toilets!

Yet again not enough toilets for the number of competitors!

Friendly family event

I competed in the 3 events. The first day in East Grinstead was extremely muddy. The organiser did advise us before the start to expect mud, but it perhaps would be also an additional warning on the website to say just how muddy that it might be. I understand that this might dissuade people from entering, so perhaps that’s why the decision was made not to advertise the mud.

The starter was very enthusiastic and the warmup staff and course Marshall’s were superb.

A fantastic, welcoming and inclusive event that we enjoyed so much

Just want to thank you for the organisation of this event, myself and my family with 2 young children took part in the family fun run and we felt it was so well organised, so much encouragement and just a really friendly, supportive and inclusive event. My boys are young but love running and as parents we have been involved in running event races for years so wanted our boys to see the fun of it all and this was perfect. The cheering for our youngest who is 2 as he ran with his tiger was just so lovely to see, lots of praise and encouragement, he loved it.
They also enjoyed cheering on the young runners in the mile race and then seeing the 10mile runners was a very exciting for them! They loved it and are so proud of their running and medal today, great memories made and just a big thank you to everyone Involved. We will be back next year!

varied but challeging

Did the Haywards Heath part today. (1) Was surprised the first drinks stop (at Victoria Park) handed out small PLASTIC BOTTLES instead of [my preferred] recyclable (? hope so) paper cups as I found later on. I wondered why this was needed. Seems to undercut any "eco-friendly" message. This besides even small bottles being too large for most, including me. That will then cause both plastic AND water waste... (2). Not everyone will agree but I am having for the same reasons a bit of a "thing" with the metal medals. I can see why people want them, and it is a good look, obviously. I just wondered if going for SMALLER would create savings. I have done the full Mid Sussex marathon several times, and the proof I did them sits in a former shoe box, together with all the others. I guess I'm not the only one in this respect.

I might still show up tomorrow @ Burgess Hill. The whole weekend is, of course, a great event! With thanks!
