MCC Promotions Background

Managing Director of MCC Promotions, Mark Caswell has over 30 years experience of organising events. His company has promoted over 200 impressive sporting and music events all over the UK. The sports related events include football, athletics, cricket, tennis, golf, netball, snooker and body building. Mark also acts as a sporting consultant and has had involvement with sportswear companies, Wimbledon Tennis, and several Corporate clients.

Additionally, MCC have promoted events featuring major music acts such as 10cc, The Darkness, UK Subs, Alexander O’Neal, Pink, Dead Pets and the Billie Holiday Story,  If that’s not been enough to keep him busy Mark has also been involved in Boxing Show promotions with more than 120 televised events under his belt!

Mark says “I’ve been involved with sport all my working life. I started out as a youth team player at Fulham and was a member of clubs such as Whyteleafe, Poole Town, Swanage Town, Portland United, Kinstonian and Corinthian Casuals. I love cricket too and was a club professional at Hendy CC (South Wales) and Sydenham amongst others in London and Kent. In 1990 The Battle of the Bands proved a successful musical project for us and MCC Promotions has also been the administrator for London's oldest Five A Side Football League, for over 25 years.”

Now that’s quite an impressive CV and portfolio and a pretty exhausting read but there is enough energy and passion left for MCC Promotions to organise 22 running events around the country. This MCC Race Series offers a variety of 10k courses ranging from urban, rural, coastal to city.

MCC and eventrac first crossed paths in 2015.  Mark and eventrac’s founder Aaron Bird discussed the challenge of increasing participation in the MCC Race Series and how communication could be improved to encourage repeat entry.
