The most fun you can have doing a marathon.

All the organisers, helpers, marshalls, physios and St John's Ambulance were very friendly and helpful - this is a great event. I highly recommend it.

Great event

The organisation was really good. Nutrition pointsTough, at the end there were 2 forks where I wasn't completely sure which path to take.
Also there could be some more music, but I understand that it may have been in order not to scare the animals there.
Otherwise everything was great.

Excellent event

Very good. Enjoyable. Free photos. Thanks.

Would have been good to have some salty snacks as well as it was a hot day.

Very organised event, tough route but very enjoyable.

The only complaint I have is the lack of solid information regarding nutrition on the course. I wouldn't really be bothered about it for shorter events, but for a marathon I think it's an important part of the race day organisation and the lack of available information made it difficult planning your race. I acknowledge that the "On the Day" advice page had words to the effect that there may be something available somewhere for some period and I asked about this at the registration desk but the lady seemingly didn't want to tell me whether there would indeed be any on-course nutrition or at which of the aid stations it might be available.

I think everyone appreciates that food station stocks will likely run out towards the end of the event, especially if you're at the back of the field, but a more open and and definitive plan and communication of this to participants would be really helpful. Having food stations stocked and then treating it as though it's a military secret and not telling people where and when they will be doesn't really allow people to plan their races appropriately.

This was only a minor issue though in what otherwise a fantastically organised event; really enjoyed the day, all of the marshalls and volunteers were excellent, the route was well sign-posted and the start/finish was very well organised. I will certainly consider entering the event again in the future.

Tough course for 1st-timers, but that was explained in the description.

route signage could definitely be improved . At some points it was not obvious which way the course went and there were only marshalls at the main road junctions. OK if you're familiar with the Park , but with the field of runners quite spread out, at times it was difficult to know which way to run. More yellow flags please, especially at the sections which are ' off the beaten track ' !

Great crowd, great scenery would highly recommend

It was my first marathon and while I completed happily I feel it may be a bit challenging for some with the number of hills.

Tough hills, beautiful park, friendly runners.

A couple of points where the path split there were no flags, so little more markings would have been useful. Otherwise a really great race!

Fun, but a bit chaotic in places.

2nd time at this race. Tough 3.5 lapper of the park (it's not flat!).
Only issue was just how busy the park is at that time on a Sunday in May, esp in good weather. Lots of having to dodge cars, bikes & walkers. Perhaps some extra signs to inform the public there was a race on.
One never likes to be critical of volunteers, without whom the race couldn't happen, but those on road crossings needed to be far more assertive and attentive. Saw (and was involved in) several near misses with cars & bikes. It's hard to concentrate on the traffic when you're 20+ miles into a marathon.
Otherwise, a good day out & will be back next year.

Excellent and so so worthwhile

Appreciate that you allowed two walkers to start at 7.30 and cheered us on every time we came through. That was special.

I so appreciate the friendliness and everything about this marathon. The loops are wondering. However, it's still easy to go on the wrong loop. Suggestion to have red and green arrows in more places. The new map is very clear but actually there are often two options in the same direction and nothing to indicate which option is the course. I hate to suggest this but it would be huge for those of us who find the course confusing - especially when we started at 7.30 and could not expect marshalls to be out there for us.

Maybe you would consider offering the marathon to walkers, let them register and start us at 7.30. I understand it would mean more marshalls or those volunteering to have a longer day - but a suggestion.

Thanks a million. Totally satisfied and I had a super day and made lots of new connections. That's what marathons are all about.
